Big Bow Baby Hat

I've spent the last 48 hours working on these adorable baby hats. For absolute no reason except that they are amazing and I've been itching to knit for a while. But I think that's a good enough reason in itself.  It keeps me from getting crazy bored and driving everybody in the house insane.

After a very long time browsing Pinterest, I decided on this pattern for the Big Bow Hat. It's been on my board for awhile, so its nice to get it done. I had everything except the needles, so I used size 5s. It turned out really cute! Really small, but really cute!

I love the bow, it really makes the hat.  I've got so many odd balls of yarn I could use for the stripe,  the possibilities are endless! I dug through my stash, and found this nice mustardy yellow. I don't know why, but I've always liked that shade.

For the yellow hat I worked off the same pattern using size 5 double pointed needles and casting on 64 stitches.
I added an extra row of gray after the stripe. And I started the decrease rows by knitting 14, K2tog around.
I wasn't sure if it would turn out, but it did. I'm really happy with the result. Happy knitting!
