Fried Ice Cream Fiesta

Last week I spent a couple days at my Partner in Crime's house. We've been friends for just about forever, and we try all kinds of crazy crafty goodness together. For example, this time we tried melting plastic cups, spoons, forks, transparencies, and chip bags in the oven. As you can imagine, that had very mixed results...Our biggest success (and defiantly the taistist) was the fried ice cream we made. It was fiesta night, and nothing is more festive then fried ice cream. It was defiantly an delishousness adventure.

We found a resipy for fried ice cream online, but you don't really need to be specific. You need:
•Vannila ice cream
•corn flakes
• cinnamon
• and egg whites

First you scoop out the ice cream into balls. (However many balls as you want servings.) Then pop them in the freezer for a couple hours. Then separate the eggs in a bowl, and crush corn flakes with some cinnamon. Then roll the frozen ice cream balls in the egg whites. It's slimy and gross, but hey, who would have thought?

We found that it works best to push the corn flakes into the ice cream.  You have to go quickly before the ice cream melts into a sticky eggy flaky mess. Speed is key.

After all you've rolled them all, they go back In The freezer for a couple more hours. Then you just have to heat the frier   And fry the ice cream. Once the oil it hot, you just drop the icecream in one by one for 20ish seconds. Then take them out, pat them off with a paper towel, drizzle them with chocolate, and enjoy the delishousness.
